by me: poem

a poem by me.

My sister has left to study abroad in the US two summers ago and I really really really missed her at the very beginning, but it got better now.  This poem I wrote when I missed my sister a few months ago all of a sudden.   I have yet to show it to her (it seemed awkward) but here, I'll just share with you people first.  Hope you like it. Don't judge me...

The original typed out version: (in case it's not clear in the pic above)

I wonder if you still remember, how
We would play our games of make believe,
We would run and hide under bedsheets.
Cuddling our toys we listen for our 'enemy'.

Never have we noticed how fast it came.
It came, came in a flash,
Took away our youthful days,
Our fun and games.
And now we're worlds apart.

We would share our foods, and laugh
At almost nothing, jokes only we understood.
You'd protected me from bullies,
Stood up for me as they came charging...

Never have we noticed how fast they came,
They came, came in a flash,
Took away our youthful days,
Our fun and games.
And now we're worlds apart.

And on nights like this, I often wonder
If you'd ever missed me.
If I'd ever crossed your mind.
My dear, I missed you so much.
And we're worlds apart.
